Such a wonderful month could not be compared to any other month for as long as Emerald had ever lived. She was back with her Xelious and her baby sister, all of them living together safe and sound. It was absolutely great and things couldnt possibly get any better unless the building were made of squeaky toys or something.

Emerald walked in the mall, hand in hand with Xelious, looking in all the store windows with great curiosity. She carried several storebags in the other hand but she did pay much mind to those. It had been a while since she had gone shopping and what better person to drag around with you than your boyfriend? Then again, Xelious also needed some new clothes, his old ones were getting much to torn up and ratty for him to wear and Emerald didnt want Xel to have holes in his shirt when it started getting colder. So she had received money from good old moe so they would be able to both go shopping.

Emerald had just gotten done looking inside a candy store, buying a whole thing of m&m's for Ruby when she saw something. The young female blinked a few times and then kept walking. However, as she did she saw a form rather stealthily gazing at her from the other side of the storefronts. That was when she caught the scent that she had not noticed before because it had mingled with the thousands of other scents in the mall. The wolf girl let out a paniced whimper, feeling her body start trembling visibly. She managed to stop herself, only to snuggle closely to Xel, which could be mistaken as affection which is was..but it was also the need to make sure he was right there.

"Xelly do you want to go now? We can go home and show Ruby what we got and have a hamburger." She told him, her eyes darting backwards to see that the person who was staring at her before was moving toward them now. Those crimson eyes, black hair, Lupine smirk, massive body, she knew that anywhere.

"Maybe we can even fly home right now if you want!" She told him, her grin filled with nerves and obvious fear as another low whimper escaped her. He had walked past them...but he had whispered something to her.

"Hello my Emerald...i missed your body my mate."

Emerald's entire body stiffened visibly, her mind rushing with all kinds of memories. "Xelly.....Xelly..." She told him. Her voice shaking, obviously scared of whats to come.

Xelious stiffened as well, looking around. "Who said that," he asked, his voice a growl that would make his little wolf proud. He hadn't noticed anyone that he knew... so he had no idea who it was that he should be looking intimidating against. He squeezed her hand reassuringly, not sure what to do next.

Emerald was indeed proud of his growl trying her best for her tail not to wag out of hiding. The Female smiled at his squeeze leaning up against him. She saw the one who had whispered to her and for a brief moment blue eyes met with crimson ones and Emerald stiffened again. Emerald let out a small cry, her entire body trembling in dismay. She suddenly turned to Xelious and latched onto him, needing him here right now.

"Im not his...Im not his....Im not his puppy..."Emerald whimpered, surprisingly showing the most fear he had ever shown. She looked up at Xelious with wide eyes. "His name is Bloodfang.....He did some bad stuff to me back in the labs....he can punc hthrough skin adn when i was fighting him he punched through my stomach and moved his hand around my insides and.....other stuff."

Xelious's eyes flashed, as he glanced around more determinedly. "Where is he," he said in a low, deadly voice. Something had stirred in the back of his mind... and for once, he didn't want to stop being angry. "I'll rip his intestines out and make him eat them, where is he."

The wolf girl looked around, eyes wide and frightened a look she almost never got. It was obvious that the wolf girl had a deep dark history with the male that was taunting her. Considering the fact that Emerald Lupin wasnt scared of anyone that Xelious had ever seen it should bring up several warning signs. Emerald shook her head, clenching her fist in anger at herself for being this scared of someone. She hated it absolutely hated it and she just wanted it to go away.

"He's gone, he left Xelious." Emerald told him her voice still wavering. "Im such a weakling."

"Where was he, then?" Xelious asked, his face hardening. This was, by far, probably the angriest and most un-Xelious that Emmie had ever seen him. He felt some of that old anger, that feeling that had helped him tear through the entire laboratory to escape, well up inside him again. Yes... killing this person would be good. Ripping him to pieces with his bare hands would feel wonderful. Such a good idea... he'd have to find him. He'd torture this idiot who dared to touch or speak to his mate like that.

"Show me where he was... you've picked out much less familiar people's scents in crows before. Show me where he was, and I'll take care of him."

Emerald looked at Xelious with absolute surprise, she had never ever seen him like this before. Usually it was her calm and collected Xelly who always knew what to say and make all her troubles go away. Despite the fact that he was offering to track the bastard down for her and to most likely kill him Emerald didn’t want that. What the young wolf woman needed right now was for her love to stay by her side, making sure she was alright.

“Xelious don’t, you don’t need to do this. Just come home with me and I can tell you about my past history with him.” Emerald explained, actually being rational in all this. “I don’t want you to get hurt…or leave me alone while he’s loose.”

"No!" Xelious growled. "If he's going to talk to my mate, or ever have hurt her, he's on borrowed time. I'm going to prove it. Now where is he," he demanded. There was no request in his voice.

Emerald looked over at Xelious with sad eyes, shifting uneasilly in her sneakers. This was the only thing she could think of to calm him down. She needed to be snuggly, loving Emerald in order to break this curse. Emerald's arms looped around his neck and she nuzzled against his chest.

"Xelly please dont. Cant we just stay here and be with each other. I dont want you to go away again, I love you." The wolf girl's voice had lowered in sweetness. Her posture changed to what it would be if they were at home snuggling and she was relaxing as best as she could. But it was clear though that she was still pretty shaken by seeing him again, her body shaking a little as she pressed against Xelious.

Xelious didn't seem to want to hear it. But instinctively, an arm wrapped around her, and squeezed her closer. He blinked, then took a deep breath. He wanted to kill that son of a bitch, wherever he was, but... taking care of Emmie was more important than his pride. Slowly, he nodded. "I won't go anywhere," he agreed quietly. "I love you, I'm not going anywhere." Yet.

Emerald smiled lightly at her Xelly, her body wiggling a little bit coentently. She was happy now that her Xelly was gonna stay with her now and not go fight Bloodfang. The wolf girl snuggled against him and held herself contently in his arms. Nothing bad was gonna happen to her, it was something she had to keep telling herself. No one was gonna take her, nothing was gonna hurt her , she was safe with her Xelly. A sudden flash from her past briefly clouded her vision...horrible Blood pouring everywhere, Bloodfang was leering down at her. Emerald clutched onto Xelious with a desperate grasp, her body shaking a little bit.

"Xelly do you think we could go to the pet store and buy a new squeaky ball? Or Maybe somewhere quite and safe that I can relax a little." The wolf girl asked, her voice higher in pitch than normal

Xelious wrapped his arm around Emmie reassuringly. "We can go wherever you want," he said, soothingly. "If you want to go home, we can do that, too," he added, "I understand."

Part of him was still worried about how he'd felt just a few minutes past... but he wasn't going to dwell on it too much yet. Emmie was more important than that. "Did we need to get anything else for Ruby while we're here?"
