With very little clothing on at all it felt ver y comfortable considering there was snow on the ground Amethyst wasn't cold if some thought she was crazy. With her fur and being used to cold weather was just one her abilities that she actually liked. She was never someone who liked the warm weather or someone who loves going to the beach. She's just the opposite. Going to the mountains was one of her favorite things while others, who loved the beach, hated it. She wasn't wearing very much, just a pair of blue jeans and a black loose t-shirt. She was barefoot though it only helped her out a bit incase she slipped. She could have cared less what people thought ot her, just that they don't think they have an advanage of picking on her.
She listened to her feet cruching the snow on the ground as she wandered around. She loved the forest and the complete darkness that it gave off during the winter. She was fairly warm under her fur that she had been used to for so long. Her bushy white and black spotted tail brushed the ground here and there as she walked humming a tune. She froze when she heard a rustle in the bushes somewhere near her. She didn't know who it was, but it might have been a good thing that she stopped where she was. [/blockquote]

Everyone needed to get away once in a while right? Well a little time to think would be well appreciated from Shane. Today was one of the days he didn't have to act like a complete stalker for once. So he spend in the forest where he could practice some flying maneuvers, fun. Well for Shane he wouldn't have it any other way since he loved flying thanks to being part bird. He did some good moves like flying vertical through trees. Of course after a little bit to much flying he got himself lost in the woods. Of course it wouldn't be that hard considering he could just fly above the trees and see.
He was just about when he heard the sound of footsteps with his super sensitive hearing. He was in a tree currently, and he expected to see a normal girl well it turns out she wasn't. 'She has to be an experiment.' he thought to himself. He knew this was a feline human hybrid as well judging by the ears and tail. This can't be good.' he thought to himself. All he would need was a jump and a few hard down strokes on his wings to send him high above here. Then while trying to jump up his shoe got caught on something and he ended up in a bush by the road. To bad he made to much noise and she looked over. He carefully tucked his wings tightly on his back and tried to stay quiet. 'Oh this cannot be good.' he thought.

Mariel positioned herself firmly between two branches. Her balance was limited when in her human form, but that was about to change. She concentrated slowly of the Siberian tiger she was to become. Her brown hair changed into the cream color of her morph, and abruptly shortened. Her tail wavered, trying to adjust to the new shape as her claws appeared, forcing her to lose her shoes. Pronto. She dropped the remainder of her clothing and hung it in the bushy tree, for her fur pattern covered her body. In about another minute, she would have her full body of fur, teeth and claws. She could almost see the rippling, sheer power of the tiger.
It pleased her. In a second, she realized there was another hybrid there. It was an avian-human hybrid, the scent was hot on her nose. But there was something else too, something familiar. It took her a bit to recognize it as a feline-hybrid. Another hunt was on. Whether she had an assignment for this one mattered not- she would simply bring it back to her "headquarters." They loved it when she brought them back without a specified assignment. The Avian hybrid alerted her senses most when her made that rustling noise. The expression easy as pie took it's meaning here, rather well.

Amethyst looked behind her and sensed a feline hybrid somewhere. And it wasn't smaller then her as she had hoped it was. But it was plenty bigger then herself. She turned her attention to the bird kid in the bush who made so much noise and anybody could have heard him. "Are you alright?" [/b] She asked wondering if he was alright. She wans't expecting anybody to be bothering her tonight. She was just hoping for a quiet night by herself in the forest and then have people complain that it was freezing outside when the cold didn't bother her at all. "Who's there? Come out and show yourself!"[/b] she called out toward the feline hybrid. She wondered who the person was that was here. Well she wanted to know the two other hybrids that were here anyways. She didn't have many friends and those she tried to make friends with only threw things at her to chase her away. All she had really cared for was to have some friends who thought she was special and not a monster as most people thought she was despite her appearance as a snow leopard. She twitched her pink nose a bit as she smelled something was uninviting. Skunk. Disgusting. She looked around to see where the black and white thing was before she herself got sprayed by it. She wanted nothing to do with a skunk and have to soak in tomato junice to get the smell out. Think of what that would do to her fur. Turn it to a pink or red color. Something she didnt' want to happen. She saw the furry thing come out a bush oppostie of the bird kid. She ran toward the bird kid jumping up on to the tree grabbing the bark with her claws climbing it to get away from the skunk. She wrapped her tail around a tree branch and leaned downwards and grabbed the bird kid by the collar of his shirt. "I'm not going to hurt you. There's a skunk over there and I don't think you want to be spray by a thing like that. It would just be horrible I think." she said smiling a bit as she pulled herself and bird kid up. She climbed up to a branch somewhat higher then where she had put the bird kid to watch where the skunk would go off to.[/size][/blockquote]

Shane heard her the feline-hybrid speak but then he sensed another one. He looked up to see another feline-hybrid. The first one out on the road seemed kind but then the one on the branch, that was a different story. The feline-human hybrid on the road jumped at the sight of a skunk. Shane sighed, he hated those creatures. Then he felt someone grab him by the collar of his shirt and pull him up. He struggled at first but then once he was up and the girl let go he said "Thanks" he smiled and looked back to the other feline-hybrid who was now in a feline form. He muscles tensed as adrenaline pumped into his veins. He looked up, there was an opening in the trees. It was perfect if he needed to fly away.
He looked back at the kind feline-hybrid and said "My name is Shane by the way." He stood there with his wings tight against his back. Then he let his wings out a bit for the cool air to cool them off a bit since they were very hot due to how much energy he put into making them fold against his back. Now he was going to make them disappear into his back but then again that would hurt badly and what if he needed to fly? With that he said back to the cat girl next to her "It's nice to meet a kind feline-human hybrid since most of them have either wanted to kill me or capture me, so it's nice to see that." He smiled and turned his attention to the other feline hybrid which was now making him nervous. Certainly Shane would not be captured and put back in testing, one time was enough.

Mariel's black and white pelt showed like a sore thumb as she jumped from the tree, pinpointing the location of the other hybrids. Another situation of perfection. She was exceptionally well trained, and didn't figure the other hybrid as a problem. She recognized it briefly as a Snow-leopard hybrid. As far as Mariel could tell, she had no alliance with the Chimera Corporation. Her ears perked as the the avian hybrid thanked the snow-leopard. She, frankly, found this disgusting. Cats shouldn't befriend birds- it was unheard of.
The glance at her by the avian hybrid made her half/grin with pride. Why she loved her job was still a mystery even to her, but hunting felt great and there was no reason to avoid it, the only problem was the inhuman strength of avian-hybrids. The prized tiger covered overtime for that, it was a beautiful gift- being a lab-pet with that ability made it all worth while. She yawned, clearing her mind of thoughts. Without warning, Mariel took up footing in the tree, and lunged towards Shane, claws out.

Amethyst could hear the swift movement of the feline hybrid coming closer to the two of them. Or rather to the bird kid at least. "You can call me Amethyst, but you better fly off or something. There's a feline hybrid coming toward us and I think she's going after you. Not me." [/b] She said smiling. She was warning him before anything major happened to him and the tiger got her way and snatched him. Where ever she was going to take him off to. At least with a warning Shane had a chance to get away before harm came to him. She on the other hand felt perfectly safe where she was though she would have to try a bit harder to defeat a white tiger if she wanted to make it out alive in one piece to scare the tigher off. But then again she was a bit faster then most people even other snow leopards that were 100% snow leopard. Though where this white tiger was heading off to. She wasn't quite sure, she just wanted to make sure Shane was out of harm's way before anything serious happened.[/size][/blockquote]

Shane didn't have much time to react, the other hybrid was quite fast. He did the only thing he knew how to , he went intangible as fast as he could but the claws still managed to scrape his arm pretty badly. Intangibility was his newest skill and it made it so objects pass right through him. Since he was on a hard object he fell through the branch on the tree and with that unfurled his huge wings and the air quickly caught them causing his to then beat down on his wings hard. Then he gain altitude quickly. The wind was getting strong which meant a storm was mostly likely coming soon.
Shane was above the tree about fifty feet, although he was still carefully watching to make sure that Amethyst wasn't hurt. He would fight but right now he needed to watch and see what would happen. Of course he could call his flock and they could help him take care of it but then they were probably watching Max's flock. It was strangely easily to hover above the tree tops. He had a lot of thoughts running around in his head but he didn't know what to do. The other hybrid wouldn't hurt Amethyst right? He could only hope for so much. Shane continued to watch anxiously the wind blowing as gray storm clouds started to come their way.

Mariel struggled to regain a decent balance. For some reason, the other feline-hybrid seemed problematic. It couldn't be anything too bad, right? She was fairly capable of dealing with other hybrids. There was no doubt about it- hybrids were REALLY starting to mutate, for example, if it wasn't just her that hybrid had just fallen through the tree. There was a rumor among hybrids that the flock had it badly as far as mutation went. Ugh.
The wind slipped through Mariel's pelt, giving her a short touch of the coming cold, which seemed as if it were going to come out harsh. A thought struck her- maybe the it was one of those flock avian-hybrids, that run about like their really something to heed. And, you know, that wouldn't be so much of a problem if they hadn't learned how to fight back to back. Another thought whistled in one ear and out the other (record speed!)- they feline hybrid might have a speck of respect for other feline hybrids. Not really sure what to do at this point, she dug her claws into the branch as a way of bracing herself.

"What do you want?" [/b]Amethyst hissed out as she looked at the white tiger hybrid. She was curious as to why the white tiger was so interested in the bird kid. And it wasn't just because he was a bird and her a cat. She wanted to know the real reason for it. She stared at the tiger while she heard the flapping of the bird kid above keeping out of reach of the tiger. Having to deal with others was something, Amethyst didn't normally do. She was mostly a loner at times always by herself. She had very few friends, and ones that she did have lived somewhere else in the world and she wouldn't be able to see them let alone talk to them if any. She leaned against the tree on the branch she stood on keeping perfect balance as to not fall off, but to stay perfectly still.[/size][/blockquote]

'What to do, what to do..' Shane thought to himself, running his fingers through his curly hair. They could obviously hear him and he could hear the conversation between Amethyst and that other cat hybrid. It was starting to annoy him how everyone wanted to kill them or capture them or the flock which meant he would have to fight them off and do what ever he could to make sure that they wouldn't be hurt. They were practically bodyguards. He started to glide above the trees in circles which didn't make nearly as much noise and her could still hear.
What would he do if something really did happen? Would he go fight for someone he just met? He probably would for that and to get revenge of that cat for cutting his arm. Of course he would heal much faster then a normal human but that was not the point. He then used one of his main abilities, he turned invisible. He was ready in case he had to fight. All he needed now was something to happen and he would be down there in a flash.

A bead of sweat rolled down Mariel's neck, making her fur feel uncomfortably sticky. Was this one of the really mutated ones, or was she mental? No, tigers can't be mental. If she were human, she would've added a nervous laugh. Then she saw it, the faintest shadow, moving. She could figure out where he was, more or less. Under her breath, she growled. "Leopard, get away from here if you know what's good for you. He's working with Chimera corporation." It was an out faced lie, and Shane wouldn't be able to understand, for the simple reason- Shane=Not cat. (Mariel doesn't know your name)
She had always been a talented liar. Mariel could trick and occasionally charm people to a high extent. Controlling emotions and impulses also was fairly simple. Finally, she was sure where he was- several degrees to one side, and just, barely in range. If a tiger had attempted the jump she did, they would fall short. Hurray for Human Siberian tiger hybrids. She felt her paws touch something.
(Okay, do you want Shane to be taken? It could be awesome.)

"I'm highly going to fall for that, Tiger. So make me get away. And besides if he was I wouldn't be scared. But I do think your working with them if your trying to capture him. And you'll do it over my dead body." [/b] Amethyst snapped as she glared at the white tiger. She knew Shane wasn't someone working with anybody. He was by himself trying trying to find a way of life. She was guessing this though she wasn't quite sure, but knew she might be right in the ned. Amethyst could tell if someone was lying or not. She had that six sense sort of thing. And this White Tiger was for sure lying to her face, but was Amethyst going to back down from this trickster so she could get the bird kid? When hell froze over would she. Which was likely never for Hell to freeze over, but that wasn't going to stop Amethyst from doing something heroic even if it meant getting caught herself. Not liked she gave a big woop for it anyways.[/size][/blockquote]
