It was night once again. Usually Bailey didn't like to go out during the day in fear of someone capturing her or seeing her wings. But then would they not only capture her if they did indeed see her wings? whatever was the reason for 'them' capturing her it was best she go out at night. It was of course easy for young Bailey to maneuver her way in the darkness of night, being 2% bird wasn't bad at all; the perfect version, wonderful sense of direction, and the wings all made life fun and easy to go threw. It was the missions and the constant fear of being hunted down that was a drag.
The winds cold fingers braided there way threw her hair knotting and tangling it as the nine year old girl soared over the beautiful Oregon landscape. In her possession was an over sized jacket, it was pretty light and didn't hold her down. Still, Bailey didn't put it on. This jacket was used to hide her wings, so there weren't big cuts in the back for her wings to stick out. For a nine-year-old Bay still had common sense. It was cold but it'll be even colder where she was headed with the ocean breeze creeping up over the sandy beach.
Bailey could hear the waves slamming themselves up against the already beaten up stone of a cliff that looked over the salty ocean water. She was close. Her wings started flapping harder so she could reach her destination just a tad bit sooner. In a swift movement she was diving down and in a blink of the eye she was on a cliff. She stood tall looking across to the endless amount of water. It was hard to imagine the idea of Japan being on the other side when all you saw was shades of blue for miles and miles.
Bailey pulled her jacket over her head as she sat crisscross applesauce on the sandy stone of the cliff. The jacket felt like a cage keeping her wings tied up, but she knew it was for the best. Enjoying the peaceful sound of the waves and the salty smell in the air Bailey let her mind wonder, leaving the oh-so problemed world she lived in.
