Mint whirled around. Blood roared in her ears as she swung her leg at the white coat. Her aim wasn't perfect, but it would work for now. There was a sickening crunch as he crumpled to the ground. Her chest probably was in to much pain for her to move, but Mint took no chances. She had killed before, and one less of these scientists could make all the difference. As the woman's lips began to form words, she hurled her at metal cage that had been her prison. She didn't listen for a cry of pain that signified death, or anything of the bloody sort. With a burst of speed, she shot through the bolted door that was carelessly open. She could hear scuffling from the other dark rooms, but considered it nothing. She was on her way OUT. No one here was going to make that stop. Her ragged long hair streamed behind her as she pumped her legs to--hopefully--freedom.

Overall Appearance:
Mint is a tall, lean figure. She always appears stiff. Her eyes always seem to flicker colors when she is annoyed. Her wingspan is larger than most, and her feathers somehow turned out dark brown. Most of them are thin and long. Several patches are lacking feathers.

Her face holds a worried expression. This is mostly caused by thoughts and pain of her past, which always seem to haunt her (see personality). Her skin is about #F5F5DC (beige) in color. Just to be exact, her feathers are a wide ranging #5E2612 (sepia) color. Her nails are extremely unusual in that they have a sharp curve at the ends, like a talon.


Clothing Style: Mint enjoys stretchy, thin, velvety things. Her favorite color used to be a dark black, but that flushed her out in the sky.
Now she wears mainly varieties of Robin's egg blue. Whenever she gets the chance, Mint will put on some cobalt eyeshadow. She hardly goes anywhere without her pair of black leather gloves.

General Personality:
A straight forward, hard girl. She doesn't back down from things unless the reason is royal. She seems to flinch when people mention her past. Mint can really blow the roof with her temper. Once she has really lost her temper, she seems to lose control as well. The thing that gets her most is when she sees people living a totally normal life, which reminds her of her
"talons", and wings.

Sometimes, because of her memories she sees things, like imagines her brother was there. Usually when that happens she spaces out for less than 20 seconds. She is never a "girly-girl" in that she doesn't like celebrities and "pretty dresses" as in dressing up. The only thing along those lines she'll wear is cobalt blue eye shadow. Silver is also a color she uses for lipstick as far as that goes. Nothing else.

Being a lab pet wasn't really good for Mint. Being 6% avian, she was thinner and had wings. The white coats loved plucking her feathers and throwing her in cages. She was the equivalent to a lab pet, until she realized her sister, Phoenix was a white coat. Phoenix was of her father and mother's DNA but cared little about our young Mint. She felt horribly betrayed and begged her sister to help her. After a fortnight, she agreed.

Similar to Jeb, Phoenix started to teach her how to fiend for herself. This meant that she would learn how to fight, and basically survive. Mint was an eager learner, and had a tall intellect. Her only problem was her temper. When she was six, Phoenix was found out and sent away, to a different school. Mint was furious. She took on an eating strike, which she abandoned when she realized they would just let her die. Soon after, she had become a weapon. Several escaped experiments attacked the premises and Mint was forced to defend the building, ending up killing two experiments.

Having killed two people scarred her forever. She always tried to believe she was forced to do it, but couldn't grasp the fact of what she'd done. It wasn't fair, she told herself. She was forced to. But nothing could exclude the truth. Another experiment told her it was a test. That they thought she had killer instinct or something. The experiment even was afraid of her, thinking she was a killer. Being about 10, she believed him. The white coats encouraged this.

Now she was similar to a tourist attraction. Since many people knew about the first flock, she was being raised for being sold, she was like an old script of sorts. When she was eleven, Phoenix came back. For some reason, Phoenix knew about something awful that would happen to Mint.
In a nearly deadly attempt, she freed Mint. She broke several door locks, especially her sister's.

Phoenix's guidance was critical. Every word of it echoed within her mind.
She lived, traveling at a wide range. It was too dangerous to stop. She looked out for people, and at the age of 16 she made a home for a few months, with some of her elder family. She was flushed out because someone had seen her there. Luckily the Frosts got away, losing only their cat, who isn't anywhere know to Mint. Knowing the dangers now, she has a route she follows, often making exceptions.
