Emerald nodded a little as he told her that, feeling tears well up in her eyes before she blinked them back. He had been gone so long and she hadn't been able to find him. Xelious was everything to her and she wouldn't have been able to bear it if she lost him.
"I know....Im so Sorry I couldn't find you! I tried I really did but I couldnt find the right Chimera Location and I tried to find help but no one would give it. Though Im not exactly a people person sometimes." Emerald laughed a little, trying not to act sad. "I slept with your shirt on your side of the bed....silly isnt it?"

"None of that," he said quietly. "If you'd found me earlier, who would have helped Ruby out of there? Things happen for a reason. We just can't always understand it." He very carefully put his arms around her, just needing to feel close to her. "And it's not any sillier than me sending my mind out while I should be sleeping so that I can just sit at that window and watch you sleep," he added, nodding at the only window in their bedroom.

Emerald smiled softly at him her gaze softening almost instantly. She gently pulled his hair back again, ruffling it gentley with that wolfish smile of hers. She understood what he was saying oddly enough. Xel had always one of the only people able to reassure her when she was feeling down. The wolf girl leaned up and kissed him with the utmost care an passion she could put in a kiss. Dear lord how she missed this boy when he was gone.
"You always have enjoyed watching me sleep haven't you?" She asked with a small smile, "If you weren't my mate and some random guy I would have to say that its kinda creepy." The wolf girl teased, let out a laugh.

Xelious smiled, his eyes closing lazily. He had, after all, walked miles to get home today. "Enjoy... watching you do anything," he murmured, his fingers running through her hair. "So... beautiful. And cute. 'Specially when you're begging me for something," he added, a little teasingly. Now that he was here, all he could think of was to curl up with his mate and fall asleep. Just for a little bit. Or just snooze for a few minutes while she made some food... yes, food is good... His stomach rumbled as he thought that.

"Aww you're so sweet to me Xelly." The wolf girl told him, her tail wagging.
Emerald smiled up at Xel, growling playfully at him as she laid next to him, snuggling against him contently. She wanted to go to sleep, she really did, just a nice snuggle with her mate, it really wouldnt take long. HOwever, she was concerned that he hadnt eaten in a while and that hindered her need for Snuggling....for a little while anyways.
"So what do you want to eat? I'm assuming you want to eat some yummy sandwiches. I know you love my roast beef sandwiches....probably because its one of the few things I can cook well but none the less you still love it." Emerald told him, her tail wagging a little. The wolf girl then pulled her arms from under the bird man and wrapped them around him, smiling a little as she rubbed his back were his wings were. "Then we can sleep all day tomorrow if you want to."

Xelious smiled at her. "That would be greeeeeat," he said with a happy sigh. "And anything else, as long as it's not trail food. I've had enough granola and beef jerky to last me all year," he said with a little shudder. "Think you could make that?" he asked with a yawn. "I'll go keep Ruby out of your hair while I do."

Emerald merely grinned at him kissing him on the cheek with a happy yip. With him distracted the female easilly slid out from underneath Xel's grip. She hoped he didnt mind but she looked froward to cooking lunch for the whole family. Family....wow there is a word I haven't thought about in a long time. I have a family again.! This is great! The wolf girl thought happily to herself as she grinned at Xel.
"I suppose so my dear Xelly. I can make it very quickly and easily so you dont have to worry your handsome, sexy little head of yours." The wolf girl teased leaving the room rather...slowly. As soon as the female got into the kitchen she started working on the sandwiches.
Ruby doo on the other hand was sitting on the couch, all snuggled up in her caccoon of blankets, pillows and books. The little girl obviously had the remaints of some virus but she looked to be better now as she watched a special on Dingos on animal planet.

Xelious first closed the door to the bedroom, stripping off the clothes he'd been wandering in and putting on a pair of fresh jeans. Hmmm... too big now, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, he mused, putting a previously-unnecessary belt on and heading out, flopping onto the couch with Ruby. "Hey, Sparky," he said, fondly, giving her hair an affectionate toussle. "How's Baby Sister doing today?"

Ruby smiled happily at Xelious, obviously excited he had come to see her. She hugged him with a joyus squeal all while her little foxy tail whiped back and forth. The fox girl was so happy she could absolutely squeal again. Luckily she didnt and she hugged Xelious happily before offering him a little bit of popcorn she cooked up. She was rather proud of herself due to the fact that she never used a microwave before and she had only burned about 20 popcorn pieces out of 60 in the bag.
"Im doing better! My throat is still Itchy and Im sore all over from running all the way to the dinner to get away from the labs but Im doing better!" Ruby wagged her tail a little. "are you doing better mr Xelious? I hope you are!" Ruby paused. "Emmy was really worried about you...she wasn't sleeping."

Xelious hugged the fox girl back, then sat back to let her lean on him as she watched TV. "I'm doing... better, I think," he said, considering his words and deciding that they were true. "I'm just tired... I haven't been sleeping much either. Although unlike some of us, I had the excuse of not having anything to sleep on," he said, raising his voice so that he knew Emerald could hear. He understood the reasons, he supposed, but she knew he didn't like her not taking care of herself.

Ruby smiled lightly at Mr Xelious, watching the special on Dingo's and their behavior. It was rather odd how they acted...and why in the world would they eat babies? She had never heard of that before and because of that, untill she had a little more proof she would not believe it. Ruby held Buster in her lap, her arms wrapped lightly around the bunny. "Emmy is just stubborn, she was like this when we were younger."
Suddenly a rather large chunk of bread came careening out of the kitchen towards Xel. It was stale so it may hurt a little bit if it conked Xelious on the head.
"I was fine Xel!" The wolf hybrid growled from the kitchen

Xel tried to duck out of the way, but with Ruby leaning against him, he couldn't move too far. "Ow!" he muttered as the bread bounced off his head. "It's not my fault you're stubborn!" he called back, rubbing his head. He looked back at Ruby and smiled. "I know what you mean," he told Ruby conspiratorially. "Once she tried to pretend for three days that she didn't sprain her ankle. It somehow wasn't obvious with her limping everywhere."

"Thats not really Surprising Mr Xelly, when Emmy was little she scraped her knee one time and she didnt show mommy and daddy untill the blood was all dry. It was because she wanted to go play with the boys in the park and she didnt want to leave yet." Ruby remembered fondly, her tail curling around her body securely.
Ruby thought of her parents for a moment and let out a small sad sigh. Her ears drooped a little as she watched Tv, her mind wandering back to her parents. They had acted similarly to Emerald And Xelious, did just now.
"Mommy used to chuck bread at Daddy when He annoyed her while she was cooking." Ruby told Xelious, leaned against him a little more for comfort.

Xelious let Ruby lean on him, stroking her head idly as he watched the television. "I don't remember my parents," he mused. "Just... labs. Lots and lots of labs." He shuddered slightly, that thought bringing another memory back to his mind. He'd hurt a lot of people lately... and he didn't know what all they'd done to him in those operations. That thought disconcerted him... but he pushed it from his mind.

Ruby leaned on him and smiled contently as he stroked her head as she watched. She listened to him when he told her about his parents, ones he never knew, all he knew were the labs. It made Ruby kind of sad but then again, sometimes it was better not knowing. However, Ruby wanted to find out some things about mr Xelious parents...perhaps it was time for her to do research on a computer. The kit could hack into Chimera and find out information about Xels origins, perhaps giving him a little hope.
"Dont worry mr Xelly you will find them some day and they will love you!" Ruby told him with the upmost confidence.
Emerald walked into the room with two plates in ethier hand both containing a roast beef sandwhich and some chips. She placed them on the small coffee table infront of the two and smiled.
"You two better eat this." The wolf girl told them. She watched as her sister contently took the sandwich and start eating, making happy eating noises as she did so.
