"Xelly...." The wolf girl murrmered as she was pulled to him., she was truely and deeply worried about him. He seemed so sad and scared, she hated seeing him like that. She inwardly cursed fusionist and all of his damn experiments and everything he had ever done to them. Emerald wanted Xelious to feel safe again she didnt want him to be like this. The wolf girl merely snuggled to him holding him tightly, no allowing herself to let go.
"Your'e safe now, I wont let him near our family again." the wolf girl vowed, her tone rather adamant. One knew when Emerald got like that it was hard getting her out of it. She was a determined wolf hybrid who didnt play by the rules and she would not allow her family to ever be hurt again. That was a promise.

Xelious smiled as he closed his eyes, taking comfort from her closeness. This was the first night in months that he'd had the opportunity to sleep comfortably... he was in a soft bed, he had room to stretch out, and he had his mate curled against him. "I'll be fine," he murmured. Now that he was relaxing, his voice sounded sleepy again "Just... need time. Still so... worked up from... everything."
"I met some more. Like us," he added, opening one eye and looking at her. "After I was out. Did I mention that?"

Emerald looked up at him worridly, worried that he wouldnt ever be okay with this. She merely snuggled against him more, laying her head on his chest like she always did. Her Xelly was allways so soft and warm when she laid on him, he was like a big feathery pillow. The wolf girl looked up at him curiously when he mentioned meeting others.
"No you didnt, but enlighten me I thought we didnt want many people to know about us Xelly." The wolf girl told him with a slight growl. "Well...I met someone too, Maximum ride actually.....am I aloud to throw my bike at her?"

Xelious smirked. "Possibly. How about you let me talk to her before we make that decision?" He yawned, then relaxed against the pillow. "I met another bird when I stopped to get something to eat. Someone saw her wings under her shirt and thought that she'd stuffed something in there to steal it. Talked to her a little bit, set up a place to meet her again, with her... boyfriend or whatever, maybe." He snuggled closer to her. "I know we weren't wanting to advertise ourselves too much... but it occurred to me that having people on our side might have been nice in the past few months."

"Sure why not." Emerald replied to him, tail wagging back and forth. The wolf girl understood why Xelious was making friends, they may just need allies. HOwever, Emerald didnt exactly like the idea of sharing Xelious with anyone. Not a whole bunch of bird people ethier...what if they tried to move in with them?! No way, she had a limit on how many people can be in her house at once.
"Another girl with wings?" The wolf girl responded with a slight growl. She tightened her grip on him, snuggling with him. "My Xelly."

Xelious smirked, tightening his own grip on her. "Did we miss the part where I said she had a boyfriend? Hmm, I think someone did miss that." He brushed his fingers over her face. "Silly little puppy-girl," he teased, "You're so cute when you get jealous over nothing."

Emerald playfully nipped at his fingers, her tail wagging on the bed. She growled at him, kssing his nose gently. "All because she has a boyfriend doesnt mean she can resit your charm lover boy! You are just too handsome for your own good!" The wolf girl teased, snuggling closer to him. The Female looked at him with a happy grin on her face, despite her teasing of him. SHe obviously was enjoying keeping her Xelly close to her.

"Well, in that case, you'll just have to stick close to me the whole time. Sitting in my lap might be close enough, but I'm not sure..." Xelious teased, realizing for the first time how much he'd missed this. Laying here at night, when both of them knew they should be sleeping, just teasing and joking and loving every minute of it. I really am home, he thought, sighing happily.

"Emmy?" a small voice asked through the door. Before being answered Ruby walked into the room,pajama clad and all. She wore a long red nightshirt with little yellow lightning bolts on it, with pants to match. She also wore a nightcap designed similarly but it had the night sky over the ocean with a thunderstorm over head. She looked absolutely adorable in the outfit however her eyes looked rather scared. "May I sleep with you and Mr Xelly tonight?"
Emerald's eyes softened in concern for the young foxling, Ruby had been having these nightmares a lot latelyy and it worried her deeply. It worried her as much as Xel worried her because that her family should be happy, not worried wether or not they would live or die the next day because of some psycho scientists "Sure come on over here kiddo."
Ruby Scuttled over to the bed, Buster clutched tightly in hand and snuggled close to both Emerald and Xel, trying not to get in between the two. "I had a Nightmare again...Fusionist came and took us all away again." She sniffled, her ears flat.
"Ruby....its okay Xel and I will protect you." Emerald soothed, petting Rubys head.

Xelious rolled onto his back enough to pull Ruby into the little family huddle. If there was one thing that outweighed his fears, it was his concern for this little fox. She'd been in for the same horrors he'd been, only he was better equipped to deal with it, given that he was much older and had gone through it before. He squeezed both of them, his mate and their little sister, and nodded. "No one's going to take anyone away again, Sparky," he said quietly. "We're not going to let some dried up old hack of a doctor spoil our family."

Ruby looked up at Xelious happily, snuggling against them with reasurance. Ruby really believed they could protect her from Fusionist. Mr Xelly had saved her before and Emmy was a super wolf and she could do anything. In all honesty she had the upmost faith in the two, but still her dream shook her and made her fear for them all. "No Giant crabs ethier?" Ruby asked in a tiny voice. "He used to put me in a room filled with crabs around the time that you came around Mr Xelly. He Knows im afriad of crabs! What if giant crabs come and try ot take us away from each other!"
Emerald laughed a little at Ruby ruffling her hair. "Then i will throw them all in a big pot and make some stew out of them!" Emerald responded confidently. "I did it when we were kids...even though I wasnt alowed to use the stove I can sure as hell do it again!"
Ruby nodded a little bit but still looked at mr Xelly. "What would you do Mr Xelly? Are you gonna make them leave us alone?"

"Crabs are tasty," Xel muttered sleepily, grinning as Emmy elbowed him for his reply. "Don't worry about what I'll do, Ruby. Just remember that if they come knocking, I'll make sure they never want to try it again. I promise. I'll let them drag me back to that stupid lab just to tear it to the ground if I have to, but I won't let them hurt us ever again."

Ruby nodded a little bit, here eyes clossing. It didnt take long for her to fall into a deep relieved little slumber. She was snuggled between Xelious and Emerald, cuddling Buster with all her strength. The Little one was so happy and so safe now. Soon even her older sister followed suit, clinging onto Xelious hand in her sleep, reasuring herself he was there. The Entire family was together again.
